My New Oddly Satisfying Hypnotic ASMR Art Channel

I was recently compelled to explore creating oddly satisfying hypnotic ASMR art. Now, I believe I’ve fallen in love with the process of making it.

I’ve had a few tech projects take the back burner while I work on creating my new YouTube channel T13e ASMR Art where I’m publishing my work. I’ve always been an artist at heart and this has allowed me to combine my skills into something I find unusually satisfying. In fact, I’ve planned to do other projects multiple times, but chose to make more art to share with the world to see if they enjoy watching it as much as I do making it. That seems like a typical artist’s problem!

I always say that you must enjoy what you do and assume nobody cares. In this case I do want people to care, so I’m looking for feedback from you to help me refine my craft and ensure I’m hitting those triggers for those who experience the tingles of ASMR.

An autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.

What I have so far, is more or less a series of prototypes that I’m using to test what I believe is a unique approach to being an ASMRtist. Normally, people are on camera making interesting noises or role playing to convey personal attention. The thought of making that kind of art makes me uneasy, so I’m combining several triggers into one hypnotic experience of sight, sound, and senses.

I’m paying “attention” to you by making this specifically for you. The fact that I enjoy making it is just a bonus.

I have lots of ideas for new art, but need to take it slow to get the ball rolling. Eventually, this will tie into other projects you’ve seen on this blog, but that will take some time to become obvious. I don’t want to give away secrets too early.

I’m finding my art leaves me with perma-grin as I’m watching a new piece for the first time!

I’m enamored by the morphing visuals alone, but then adding the sounds caries me farther away into a state where I can’t look away.

My hope is that you find this is the case for you, too.

Please take a few moments to checkout my T13e ASMR Art channel and leave comments telling me what you enjoy, or don’t. If you tell me what you’d like to see, then I’ll be sure to make that happen for you.

Hopefully this takes off enough that I’ll eventually be able to monetize this channel. I know having a faceless channel isn’t in my favor for gaining immediate traction, especially when most of the videos don’t have a script. I’m relying on keywords, likes, subscriptions, and comments to grow this channel. So, I appreciate you supporting me as I explore this new and unexpected path of using technology to create digital art.

Here’s a video I made about this project:

Here’s a short that introduces my channel with a sample of what I’ve published so far. Please share this with anyone you know who might find it interesting and I’ll keep you updated on how this project progresses.
